Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about MIPD, our platform, or how implementation works? We've put together answers to the questions we hear most often from clinical and pharmacy teams.

Nova is a bedside clinical tool, supporting individual patient dosing decisions in real time. Apollo is an analytics platform built on top of utilization and outcome data. Where Nova optimizes care for one patient, Apollo helps clinical teams understand performance, trends, and outcomes across their entire program.
Apollo does not require Nova and can operate on its own. Apollo is designed to work natively with Nova as its data source, but can also ingest data directly from other systems, and independent of Nova deployment. Contact us for more information.
Apollo analytics is designed for stakeholders in the healthcare system who want to track and analyze medication utilization and performance. Clinical users and department leads can interrogate population-level data and track outcomes; directors and executives can use Apollo to monitor program performance, report ROI, and identify improvement opportunities.
Apollo is available in three tiers to support the varying needs of our constituents. Each tier includes metrics on dosing outcomes, target attainment rates and time to therapeutic levels, adverse event incidence, and operational and demographic data. Higher level tiers expand interactive functionality to include filtering, user performance, patient-specific/event reporting and native-language chart generation. Data output is designed to support both internal QI initiatives and external stewardship reporting requirements.

Yes. Apollo provides the outcome data and trend analysis that stewardship programs need to demonstrate impact, including target attainment rates, days of therapy, and clinical outcome correlations.

Users may generate reports to support ASP practices as required by the Joint Commission, including documentation of evidence-based use of antimicrobials (MM.09.01.01 EP15), reporting of stewardship data to hospital leadership (MM.09.01.01 EP20), bespoke stewardship initiative analytics (MM.09.01.01 EP12), and evaluation of adherence to evidence-based guidelines (MM.09.01.01 EP19).

Apollo Studio is an AI-powered, advanced analytics environment for teams that supports the exploration of data via natural language.  Surpassing standard fixed dashboards, Studio allows clinical teams and analysts to ask questions and generate custom analyses without writing code, and is leveraged for bespoke medication use evaluations across disease states by consolidating data from disparate sources. Apollo Studio is available in the Gold tier of Apollo.
Yes, custom reporting capabilities are available by using Apollo Studio.
Apollo draws from a variety of data sources, including EHR data via integration, Nova’s database, laboratory data, and flat files. We work with teams to understand data sources in order to customize the data integration. The depth of available analytics scales with the richness of your data feed.
