Webinar recap

The first installment of the All Welcome Webinar Series looked at how dosing decisions made one patient at a time add up to measurable patterns across a health system, and how analytics can turn those patterns into protocol decisions.

The InsightRX team presented three common vancomycin protocol questions: whether loading dose caps leave patients with obesity below target early in therapy, whether concomitant piperacillin-tazobactam is associated with more acute kidney injuries, and whether early level collection improves AUC target attainment. Each was taken to Apollo’s interactive dashboard, where filtering aggregate data by patient characteristics and custom treatment tags shows whether a pattern holds across an organization’s full vancomycin population.

The session also compared the two analytics formats available at the time: Apollo Bronze, a quarterly report of key vancomycin metrics, and Apollo Silver, an on-demand dashboard with real-time filtering and exploratory analyses.

The takeaway: the dosing decisions made in Nova become the metrics measured in Apollo, and those metrics can show where a protocol change is likely to have the most impact.
